Is Geely a domestic or joint-venture car brand?

Geely is a domestic car brand. Geely Automobile primarily produces SUVs, sedans, and other vehicle models. The company has launched three sub-brands: Gleagle, Emgrand, and Englon. Taking the Geely Emgrand GL as an example, its body dimensions are 4725mm in length, 1802mm in width, and 1478mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2700mm. The ACC adaptive cruise control system and urban pre-collision safety system give the Emgrand GL advantages that are hard to surpass for most vehicles in its class. In terms of active safety, the Emgrand GL is also equipped with intelligent safety features such as the Bosch 9.1 version ESP body stability control system, TPMS intelligent tire temperature and pressure monitoring system, EPB electronic parking brake system, and AUTOHOLD automatic parking system.
I've always found the ownership of car brands quite interesting. Geely is a purely domestic brand. When Li Shufu founded Geely in Taizhou, Zhejiang, it started entirely with local capital and technology, unlike Volkswagen or Toyota which were produced through joint ventures with domestic companies. When I get my car serviced at 4S shops, I often come across Geely models, and the part numbers and manufacturing information on the chassis clearly indicate pure domestic production. Although Geely later acquired Volvo, that was a cross-border merger, and the Geely brand itself remains purely Chinese. Nowadays, Geely's new energy vehicles are selling well overseas, which is quite a credit to domestic cars. Just the other day, my neighbor Uncle Wang bought a Geely Galaxy, and driving it, you can't tell any difference from joint-venture cars.
