Turning on the heater in my Honda UR-V is quite straightforward. Usually, I start by firing up the engine and letting it run for a few minutes to warm up, waiting until the temperature gauge needle rises to the middle position. Then, I locate the climate control panel on the center console, turn the temperature knob to the red zone for heat—say, setting it to 25°C or higher. Next, I press the fan button to increase airflow, starting at a low speed to avoid excessive noise. Finally, I select the air direction, such as directing it toward the front footwells or the dashboard, to distribute the warmth evenly. It's important to check if the AC button is lit—if the indicator is on, turn it off since the heater doesn't require the compressor to run, and keeping AC on would only increase fuel consumption. After these steps, the cabin warms up quickly. I also prefer switching to a bit of fresh air mode (external circulation) to let in outside air, preventing window fogging for safer driving.
