How to Turn Off the Rear Wiper on the Geely Boyue?

There is a button on the top of the Geely Boyue; pressing it flat turns off the wiper. Lifting the handle upward activates the front windshield washer to spray water while the wiper operates. Releasing the handle stops the washer from spraying, and the wiper makes a few more sweeps before resetting. Wiper Maintenance: 1. When using the wiper to remove dust from the windshield on sunny days, always spray glass cleaner first—never operate it dry. 2. If there are stubborn or hard contaminants on the glass, clean them manually. These can easily damage the wiper blade, leading to poor wiping performance. In severe cases, the wiper motor may also be affected. 3. When lifting the wiper blade during car washing or routine cleaning, hold its "backbone" and gently return it—do not let it snap back abruptly. 4. In winter, use an ice scraper to clear ice chips from the windshield first to avoid overburdening the wiper. 5. If contaminants on the wiper are hard to remove or the wiper itself malfunctions, seek professional repair as soon as possible.
My Boyue has been in use for over a year, and the rear wiper often makes loud noises when left on, so I simply turn it off. The operation is super easy: just sit in the driver's seat, turn the small knob at the end of the wiper control lever on the right side of the steering wheel, and rotate it to the '0' or 'OFF' position—the rear wiper icon on the dashboard will disappear. Boyue's design is very user-friendly; the knob stops with a slight turn, preventing accidental operation. Running the wiper in dry weather not only creates annoying noise but also scratches the rear window and shortens the wiper blade's lifespan. It's a good habit to quickly check the knob position before driving and only turn it on when needed during rainy days, ensuring safety and saving money. Regularly wiping the rear window with water or glass cleaner helps keep it clean and reduces wiper wear.
