The method to reset the maintenance reminder for the Elantra is as follows: 1. Locate the maintenance page: Power on the vehicle and use the steering wheel control buttons to find the maintenance page on the dashboard. 2. Reset option: Select the reset option to zero the maintenance mileage. 3. Turn off the ignition: Turn off the ignition to complete the reset. Taking the 2020 Hyundai Elantra as an example, its body dimensions are: length 4610 mm, width 1800 mm, height 1450 mm, wheelbase 2700 mm, and fuel tank capacity 53 liters. The 2020 Hyundai Elantra is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, with a maximum horsepower of 115 hp, maximum power speed of 6300 rpm, and maximum torque speed of 4500 rpm. The front suspension uses a MacPherson independent suspension, and the rear suspension uses a torsion beam non-independent suspension.

First, sit in the driver's seat without rushing to start the ignition. Simply hold down the 'TRIP' button on the right side of the dashboard and, with the other hand, turn the key to the power-on position (without starting the engine). At this point, the dashboard will flash briefly to display the setup menu. Then, quickly press the 'TRIP' button to switch to the 'Maintenance' option. When you see the 'mileage' blinking, press and hold the button for more than 5 seconds until the wrench icon disappears. After completing this, remember to turn off the ignition and restart the car to check if the wrench icon is truly gone. If the reset fails, repeat the process twice. For older models, it's essential to perform this operation when the engine is cold for it to work. I've reset it five or six times myself—the key is to press steadily without shaking your hand.

I've done this for my neighbor before. First, turn off the engine, and only power on the dashboard. Use the menu button on the left side of the steering wheel to navigate to the maintenance reminder interface (older models use the odometer adjustment button). When you see the wrench icon, press and hold the 'OK' button on the multifunction steering wheel for about ten seconds until the progress bar completes, then release. For newer Elantra models, you might reset it in the vehicle system: find the vehicle settings on the central control screen, enter the maintenance menu, and reset the cycle. After completing the operation, drive a hundred meters or so to see if the warning pops up again. It's recommended to take a photo of the successful reset for your records. After resetting, the data displayed on the dashboard will be reset, but it won't affect the actual condition of the vehicle.

Just discussed this in the owner's group. Straight to the point: Turn the key to the ON position but don't start the engine. Press and hold the small cylinder (that's the reset button) at the lower right corner of the dashboard with your index finger, while keeping your eyes on the screen until the English maintenance menu flashes. Keep holding the button until the wrench symbol starts flashing, then release and immediately press it again, holding for 5 seconds to complete the reset. For new cars, you might need to use the steering wheel control buttons. If you can't find the button, check page 34 of the manual. After resetting, take a couple of high-speed laps to let the system confirm, and check if the fuel consumption display is accurate.

Prepare a flat-head screwdriver and car key. With the engine off, insert the key and turn it to the ignition position (second position). Press and hold the small hole (reset button) on the side of the dashboard with the screwdriver for about ten seconds until you hear a 'beep'. Quickly remove the key when the central display shows the maintenance day reset. For newer models with LCD screens, it's faster to operate through the steering wheel menu: go to Vehicle Information → press and hold the return key for five seconds to reset. After resetting, note that the displayed next maintenance mileage may be inaccurate; it's more scientific to perform maintenance based on actual oil condition. Just last week, I used a screwdriver to reset a 2016 Elantra—the reset button was hidden in a groove below the right side of the speedometer.

Hey buddy, got your hands on the steering wheel? Now power on without starting the engine. Use your right hand to locate the button with an icon on the right side of the dashboard (usually showing an odometer symbol), press it three times to switch to the maintenance interface. Prepare a stopwatch with your left hand, then simultaneously hold down that button and the TRIP key at the top of the turn signal stalk for ten seconds. Wait until the dashboard flashes red three times – that means success. For vehicles manufactured after 2019, you'll need to operate via the central control screen: go to Settings > Vehicle > Reset Maintenance Data. After completing this, remember to drive around three intersections – the system needs to record new data to clear the warning. Don't panic if the accumulated mileage shows zero after reset; it won't affect the actual mileage records.

Is the Civic's Ground Clearance Too Low? Should I Buy It?

Although it is relatively low, it is still worth buying. Here are the relevant details: Reasons: Since it is typically driven in urban areas, the Civic's ground clearance does not affect normal driving. However, it is not suitable for rural muddy roads with many potholes, as the design concept of sedans is for road driving, not harsh road conditions. Ground Clearance: The Honda Civic has a minimum ground clearance of 105mm, while most family sedans range between 120-130mm, making it slightly lower than average in the sedan industry. The Civic is positioned as a sporty family sedan, and the lowered ground clearance enhances its coupe-like body lines, better showcasing its sporty style.
