If you fail to pass the driving test within the three-year period, you need to re-register with a driving school. The purpose of registering with a driving school is to establish a file that records specialized training, documenting that you have learned to drive at the school. Taking the driver's license test requires registration through a driving school, so if you need to retake the test, you must also re-register with a driving school. If you don't complete all tests within the three-year period, your previous file will be canceled. Additional information: Failing five times only applies to Subject 2 and Subject 3. Subject 1 and Subject 4 are computer-based tests with unlimited attempts. If you fail Subject 2 or Subject 5 times in a row, all previous test scores will be invalidated, and you must pay the fees again to re-register and follow the exam process to reschedule the tests. You can only obtain your driver's license after passing all subjects.
