How to Quickly Remove Fog Inside a Corolla?

In winter, the glass inside the car often fogs up, affecting driving visibility. Here are several methods to quickly remove fog inside a Corolla: 1. Open the windows to allow air convection: When outside and inside air form convection, the temperature difference decreases, and the fog will disappear. This method does not increase fuel consumption. 2. Use the air conditioning to defog: You can press the front windshield defogging button on the center console, then adjust the air vents to direct airflow toward the front windshield, which can basically remove fog instantly. 3. Use defogging spray: Evenly spray the defogging agent onto a soft cloth and then wipe the front windshield with it. Alternatively, you can directly and evenly spray the defogging agent onto the front windshield.
Every time I encounter fogging inside my Corolla, I immediately turn on the AC to defog. First, I press the front windshield defogger button—the one with the fan-shaped icon and arrows—while setting the fan speed to maximum and the temperature to the lowest. I also turn on the external air circulation to let dry air in, making sure not to activate the recirculation mode, as that would trap moisture inside. After turning on the AC, I use a dry towel to wipe the side windows and rearview mirror areas, as these spots are the most prone to fogging and obstructing visibility. Remember to direct the AC vents toward the glass, and within minutes, the fog will clear—much faster than manual wiping. If the rear window fogs up, press the rear defogger button; the Corolla’s rear-window heating wires work really well. Most importantly, don’t rush to turn off the AC in winter—wait until the glass warms up before gradually reducing the fan speed, or the fog will return instantly.
