Since most modern cars are equipped with anti-theft systems, hotwiring is not possible when the key is lost. The only solution is to contact a 4S dealership to have a new key made. Following the standard procedure: press the brake pedal, release the handbrake, turn the key, and attempt to start the engine. Normally, the car should start without issues once the new key is properly programmed.
