I’m pretty meticulous about my garage because I’ve heard the stories. The main thing is to not give them a reason to come near. Keep the garage clean—no cardboard boxes on the floor where mice (and then snakes) can hide. Also, check the weather stripping on your garage door. A small gap is an invitation.
