How often are new license plate number segments released?

The vehicle management office periodically announces new number segments, but the release timing is not fixed. New numbers are released when the existing pool of numbers is nearly exhausted. The initially released number segments can be obtained through either random selection or self-composed selection. For subsequent number segments, only random selection is available for the first 7 days after release. No unit or individual is permitted to engage in the following activities: 1. Unauthorized modification of registered vehicle structures: It is prohibited to assemble vehicles or modify the registered structure, construction, or features of a vehicle without authorization. 2. Alteration of vehicle model numbers: It is prohibited to change the vehicle model number, engine number, chassis number, or vehicle identification code. 3. Forgery or use of forged vehicle registration certificates: It is prohibited to forge, alter, or use forged or altered vehicle registration certificates, license plates, driving licenses, inspection stickers, or insurance marks. 4. Use of other vehicles' registration documents: It is prohibited to use another vehicle's registration certificate, license plate, driving license, inspection sticker, or insurance mark.
