How many points are deducted for making a U-turn and driving in the wrong direction on the road depends on the situation. If driving in the wrong direction on a highway, 12 points will be deducted and a fine will be imposed. If driving in the wrong direction on other roads, 3 points will be deducted and a fine will be imposed. Legal basis: Article 90 of the "Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" states that motor vehicle drivers who violate road traffic safety laws and regulations regarding road traffic rules shall be given a warning or fined accordingly. If there are other provisions in this law, penalties shall be imposed in accordance with those provisions. Article 1 of the "Scoring Standards for Road Traffic Safety Violations" lists behaviors for which motor vehicle drivers will be deducted 12 points at one time: Driving a motor vehicle in reverse, in the wrong direction, or making a U-turn across the central divider on a highway. Article 3 of the "Scoring Standards for Road Traffic Safety Violations" lists behaviors for which motor vehicle drivers will be deducted 3 points at one time: Driving a motor vehicle in violation of prohibitory signs or markings.

Making a U-turn and driving against traffic on highways is a deadly move. According to traffic regulations, driving in the wrong direction on expressways results in an immediate 12-point deduction and fines up to 2,000 yuan. Having driven for years, I've seen many drivers take this shortcut only to end up with hefty fines and revoked licenses. Once, a friend missed an exit at night, reversed against traffic, got caught on camera, lost all 12 points, and had to retake theoretical classes. Honestly, it's safer to plan routes ahead and drive a few extra kilometers than to take such risks. Always check traffic signs diligently—never gamble with safety.

As a driver who frequently uses highways, I must remind you that driving against traffic is absolutely not allowed. In terms of penalty points, there's no room for negotiation - driving in the wrong direction on highways uniformly results in a 12-point deduction. Fines vary depending on the situation, ranging from a few hundred to over a thousand yuan. Last year when I missed an exit, I resisted the urge to reverse and drove an extra ten kilometers instead, which saved my points. Safety comes first - imagine if a large truck came speeding towards you, the consequences would be unthinkable. Get into the habit of using navigation, and if you encounter an emergency, turn on your hazard lights and pull over.

Traffic regulations clearly state: Reversing or making a U-turn on the highway is a violation, resulting in an immediate 12-point deduction. Accumulating 12 penalty points requires retaking the driver's license theory test. Fines start from 200 yuan, depending on the severity of the danger. Common causes include driver negligence or navigation errors, but the risks are extremely high and can easily lead to serious accidents. The enforcement of these regulations is strict, with extensive electronic surveillance coverage, making the probability of being caught very high.

I drive on national highways every week and fully understand the dangers of wrong-way driving. That time when I was fatigued, I almost made a U-turn, but the thought of losing 12 points plus a fine made me push through to the service area. Wrong-way driving on highways is heavily penalized, starting at 12 points, with fines up to 2000 yuan. To avoid it, plan your trip well and bring some water to stay alert. In real cases, such violations often lead to chain-reaction accidents.

When studying driving regulations, I found that driving against traffic carries the harshest penalties: 12 points deducted on highways and 6 points on urban roads. This is accompanied by fines and license suspension. The main causes are emergency negligence, so it's advised that drivers remain calm and call for help when needed. Safe driving techniques include anticipating intersections and using mobile apps for alerts.

Is it cleaner to extract or drain engine oil?

Changing engine oil by draining is the cleaner method. Reasons why draining is cleaner: The drain plug is located at the lowest point of the oil pan, allowing nearly all the engine oil to be drained out. During the draining process, you can visually inspect the condition and color of the old oil to assess the engine's operating status. Additionally, impurities settled at the bottom of the oil pan can be removed, and metal shavings attached to the drain plug can be cleaned promptly to prevent contamination of the new oil. Precautions for changing engine oil: After driving the car into the service bay, let the engine run for a few minutes before shutting it off. This allows the oil in the oil passages to flow back into the oil pan. As the oil flows back, metal shavings in the oil will also settle to the bottom of the oil pan. The drain plug at the very bottom is magnetic and can attract and hold these settled metal shavings.
