On my Graco Extend2Fit, the easiest way is to use the front adjuster. There's a little button on the front of the seat, right above where the harness strap comes out. I press that button down with my thumb while I pull the long, loose strap hanging down between the legs. The whole harness loosens smoothly. It’s designed so you can do it with one hand while holding your child with the other, which is a lifesaver when you're in a hurry.
