I've been driving a Geely Vision for several years now, and indeed it's been discontinued. I remember it was around 2021 when production stopped. Geely officially stated it was to make room for new models like the Emgrand L and the Xingrui, which come with higher configurations. As an owner, I think the Vision offers good value for money—it's fuel-efficient and durable, though a bit outdated in terms of technology. Buying a new one is out of the question now, so the second-hand market is the only option. There are plenty of used Visions available at affordable prices, around 50,000 RMB. However, with the discontinuation, spare parts supply will gradually decrease. I'd recommend checking the vehicle's condition before buying a used one to avoid issues with aging electronic components. My own car is still in decent shape, and the 4S stores still have spare parts, but long-term maintenance might become inconvenient. After discontinuing the Vision, Geely has shifted focus to electric vehicles. Friends looking to buy a new car might want to consider the Geometry series. All in all, it's a classic model, but times have changed.

From an automotive enthusiast's perspective, the Geely Vision is a classic family car that has long been discontinued. Launched in 2010, it gained a considerable user base, but Geely announced its discontinuation in 2021 to shift focus to upgraded models like the Emgrand GL and Xingrui. The Vision's history is quite interesting—the first generation was based on Toyota technology and maintained steady sales. Post-discontinuation, it became popular in the used car market due to its affordability and suitability as a practice vehicle. Monitoring automotive forums, I've noticed discussions about parts availability after discontinuation. Geely's original spare parts are expected to last a few more years, but owners are advised to maintain their cars promptly. With the shift toward new energy vehicles, Geely has introduced the electric version of the Boyue L, marking a perfect finale for the Vision era. For those nostalgic about older cars, a used Vision is a worthy purchase, but for new cars, only smarter Geely models are available now.

From my experience at the repair shop, the Geely Vision has definitely been discontinued. After 2021, new cars were rarely seen. Post-discontinuation, there was still some inventory of spare parts, but items like fuses or engine components gradually became scarce. We've serviced many older Vision models and recommend owners regularly change oil and check electrical systems to extend vehicle lifespan. For used car buyers, always inspect the electrical system first to avoid issues. Geely's newer models like the Binyue offer better performance and lower maintenance. Generally speaking, discontinued models age faster, so don't just go for the cheapest option when buying used.

When on a tight budget, the Geely Vision used car is a good option, though the new model has indeed been discontinued. After production ceased in 2021, new cars are no longer available, and used prices have dropped significantly, making it possible to get one for 40,000 to 60,000 yuan. I've compared, and the Vision is cheaper than the new Emgrand, though it has slightly higher fuel consumption. When buying used, pay attention to mileage and accident records. The Geely brand's quality is decent, and parts supply won't be cut off immediately. Maintenance costs for discontinued models may increase slightly, but it's still suitable for daily commuting. Geely is now promoting models like the Xingyue, which offer better value for money. Overall, discontinuation isn't a big issue, and picking a good used car can be quite cost-effective.

I heard from friends that the Vision has been discontinued for a long time. Geely stopped selling it in 2021, and now 4S stores are promoting new models like the Xingrui. I think discontinuation is normal as automakers always update their lineups. The Vision was an economical and practical car to drive, and there are plenty available in the used car market—just make sure to thoroughly inspect the vehicle condition before buying. Geely has an extensive service network, making maintenance convenient. Overall, the Vision era has passed, and new cars are now more intelligent.

Can You Still Drive When the ABS Light Is On?

When the ABS warning light is on, it is recommended not to continue driving. The illumination of the ABS light indicates a malfunction in the vehicle's anti-lock braking system. During emergency braking, if the wheels lock up, the vehicle may skid uncontrollably, making it difficult for the driver to slow down or adjust the vehicle's trajectory, posing significant safety risks. There are several scenarios in which the ABS light may illuminate, each with different causes and solutions, as detailed below: Scenario 1: ABS warning light remains constantly illuminated (most common). Cause 1: The ABS speed sensor's sensing area is covered by dirt, mud, or other contaminants, affecting its ability to detect the vehicle's speed signal. This prevents the ABS control unit from determining the speed and calculating the wheel slip rate, thus failing to issue appropriate commands to regulate braking. Solution: Clean the dirt from the speed sensor and adjust the gap between the sensor and the tone ring to restore normal function. Cause 2: Loose connections in the system wiring or poor contact in the ABS relay can lead to signal issues and system failure. Solution: Inspect wiring connections and reconnect any loose parts. Scenario 2: ABS warning light intermittently illuminates but turns off during acceleration. Cause: When multiple electrical components are in use, the battery voltage may drop below 10.5V. As engine speed increases, the voltage rises, causing the ABS light to turn off. This may also occur due to insufficient power supply voltage to the ABS system, such as poor terminal contact or grounding issues. Solution: Check the battery's specific gravity, inspect the charging system, and verify the power supply (e.g., voltage relay or poor power contact). Scenario 3: ABS warning light remains illuminated after engine start and only turns off when the engine is shut off (IGFF). Cause: Poor grounding connection in the ABS hydraulic valve body; loose wiring connections in the ABS hydraulic valve body; or ABS control unit malfunction. Solution: Loosen and retighten the grounding screw on the hydraulic valve body, cleaning the contact surface if necessary. Check for enlarged gaps in connectors. Replace the ABS or ABS/ASR control unit if needed. Scenario 4: ABS warning light illuminates during high-speed driving. Cause: The ABS control unit detects a significant discrepancy between rear and front wheel speed signals during high-speed driving. This may also occur due to incorrect tire or wheel rim specifications. Solution: Refer to the vehicle's recommended tire and wheel rim specifications, typically found on the label near the fuel tank cap. Scenario 5: ABS warning light intermittently illuminates. Cause: Improper adjustment of the brake light switch; poor internal contact in the brake light. Solution: With the engine running, press the brake pedal and push the brake switch linkage down fully with your fingers. Release the pedal to complete the self-adjustment. Replace the brake light switch if necessary.
