I tried it once on an old truck hood. Big mistake. It went on cloudy and dried streaky. Getting it off was a nightmare; I had to use a heavy-duty cleaner and probably took off some of the actual clear coat with it. Stick with products made for cars. They're designed to work with the paint and clear coat, not fight against them. It's just not worth the risk.
