Can You Still Drive with a Toyota LTA Malfunction?

It is not recommended to drive for extended periods. Toyota LTA stands for Lane Tracing Assist system. The function of LTA is to recognize the lane markings on both sides when the speed exceeds 50 km/h, automatically keeping the vehicle centered in the lane. At lower speeds, when combined with DRCC (Dynamic Radar Cruise Control), it can also enable follow-the-car driving, allowing the driver to relax without controlling the throttle, brakes, or steering wheel, making driving more effortless. Below is relevant information: LTA makes high-speed driving more relaxed and enjoyable; during slow-moving traffic in urban areas, there's no need to repeatedly control the throttle and brakes with your foot, making driving less tiring. In actual driving operations, when the lane-keeping system is activated, two lane indicators appear on the display. If the lanes are not recognized or the speed is below 50 km/h, the indicators appear as two dashed lines.
