Just took my 2018 Wuling Hongguang on a 2,000km round trip a few days ago. Here's the real experience: The 1.5L version has completely adequate power - overtaking trucks on highways was easy, though engine noise gets noticeably loud past 110km/h. Biggest surprise was the fuel consumption - only 6.3L/100km with AC on the whole way. Important reminders: RWD tends to fishtail on wet/snowy roads, and never overload it! I specifically got new tires and wheel alignment before departure - zero steering wheel vibration. Factory seats causing back pain during long drives is common - bringing a lumbar support helps a lot.
