Stop trying the water basin method! Personal experience tells you: half a basin of water turns into warm water vapor after exposure to the sun, making leather seats even more damp and sticky. Keep in mind that dashboard temperatures can reach up to 80°C, and the evaporation rate of a basin of water simply can't keep up. What really works is physical isolation—applying high-quality metalized window film can block 70% of infrared rays, and using a car cover over the roof when parked.
