Can I Still Take the Test After Failing the Subject 2 Test Five Times?

No. For the Subject 2 test, if you fail the first attempt, you can retake it once. If you do not participate in the retest or fail the retest, the current test session is terminated, and the applicant must reschedule the test after ten days. Within the validity period of the driving skill test permit, the number of scheduled tests for Subject 2 and Subject 3 road driving skills tests must not exceed five times. If the fifth scheduled test is still failed, the results of other subjects that have been passed will be invalidated. The following are the test precautions: If any of the following situations occur during the test, it will be judged as a failure: 1. Not using the seat belt or wearing a safety helmet as required; 2. Blocking or turning off the in-car audio and video monitoring equipment; 3. Not driving according to the examiner's instructions; 4. Inability to correctly use common vehicle controls such as lights and windshield wipers; 5. The vehicle rolls backward more than 30cm when starting.
I failed the Subject 2 driving test five times and was utterly discouraged, thinking I'd never get my driver's license. But later, I consulted my driving instructor, who clearly told me that I could still take the test! The rule is that if you fail Subject 2 five times, you must re-register for the entire examination process, starting from Subject 1. I paid the registration fee again and this time was determined to prepare well. I practiced more frequently, watched many instructional videos, and repeatedly worked on weak points like parallel parking and hill starts. Three months later, I retook the written test and finally passed all subjects successfully. Lesson learned: Don't give up after failure, analyze the mistakes, practice harder, and success will come.
