No, the vast majority of cars cannot and should not use 100 octane gasoline. It is not a suitable fuel for standard engines and using it in a vehicle not designed for it is a waste of money and can potentially harm performance. From a cost perspective, it makes zero sense. Where I live, 100 octane can be double the price of regular. Since most cars see no benefit, you're literally burning cash. That extra money per fill-up adds up quickly over a year with no return on investment. The only financial justification would be if you owned a high-strung performance vehicle where the manufacturer explicitly mandates it for track use. For 99% of drivers, it's an expensive mistake.
