To keep your Clean Air Express Series 4000 Sample Gas Conditioner running smoothly, follow this maintenance schedule: Monthly: Flush tap water (up to one pint) through the pressure pump using a squirt bottle, ensuring the flow rate doesn't exceed one half ounce per minute, and check the peristaltic drain pump. To do this, disconnect the Sample Gas Inlet and Outlet lines. Six-Month Intervals: Remove the pump head, inspect the valves and diaphragm, and clean or replace them as needed. Replacement parts are available from Clean Air Engineering Express. Heat Exchanger Maintenance: If the sampling probe effectively removes particulates, monthly flushing with tap water is usually sufficient. Sump Drain Peristaltic Pump Maintenance: Inspect the pump tubing monthly. Refer to the manual for tubing replacement instructions. Following these guidelines helps maintain optimal performance and avoids potential issues. For further assistance or questions, contact Clean Air Express at (800)-223-3977.
