To ensure your RetroTherm MAX floor panels perform at their best, follow these crucial installation steps. First, prepare your floor by ensuring it is level, solid, and free of debris. Address any imperfections with a self-levelling compound if necessary. Next, inventory all components, including the UFH Manifold & Control Pack, 12x2mm PEXa pipes, and the RetroTherm MAX Panels themselves. Gather the required tools: a Pipe De-Coiler, Pipe Shears, Pipe Reamer, Adjustable Spanner, Multi-tool, and a circular saw for cutting. Review the UFH CAD design to confirm it meets your needs. Proper insulation is key, so ensure your floor includes an appropriate insulation layer according to building regulations. Begin panel installation in a corner, ensuring secure connections and straight cuts. Then, install the pipes according to the CAD design, securing them in the panel grooves and connecting them to the manifold correctly. Flush each loop, vent any air, and pressurize the system to 6 bar for an hour to check for leaks. Finally, adhere to the recommended installation methods for your chosen floor covering, whether it's tiles, vinyl, engineered wood, laminate, or carpet, to maximize heat output and protect your floor finish. Following these steps, as detailed in the RetroTherm MAX installation guide, will help you achieve optimal performance and longevity from your system.
