Programming your Fleck 5600SXT metered water softener ensures optimal performance. Here's how to program the valve:
- Plug in the 5600SXT valve. The display will show the time and remaining gallons.
- Set the current time using the UP or DOWN buttons. Confirm with the REGEN button.
- Enter MASTER PROGRAMMING MODE by pressing and holding the UP and DOWN buttons for 5 seconds.
- The display will show various settings. For DF/Gal (Display Format), VT/dF1b (Valve Type), CT/Fd (Control Type), and NT/---1 (Number of Tanks), keep the default values. Press REGEN to proceed.
- The display will show c/32.0 (Unit Capacity). Adjust this value using the UP or DOWN button to match the capacity listed in your manual or calculated values. Confirm with REGEN.
- The display will show H/20 (Hardness). Set this value to your water's total hardness level using the UP or DOWN buttons. Confirm with REGEN.
- The display will show RS/SF (Reserve Selection/Safety Factor). Keep RS unchanged. Use the UP button to set the SF (Safety Factor) to 15%. Confirm with REGEN.
- The display will show DO/14 (Day Override). Do not change this setting. Press REGEN.
- The display will show RT/2:00 (Regen Time). Adjust the regeneration time using the UP or DOWN button if desired. Confirm with REGEN.
- The display will show BW/10 (Backwash). Do not change this value. Press REGEN.
- The display will show BD/60 (Brine Draw). Do not change this setting. Press REGEN.
- The display may show RR/12 (Rapid Rinse). Do not change this value. Press REGEN.
- The display may show BF/10 (Brine Fill). Adjust this value using the UP or DOWN button based on your manual's recommendations or calculations. Confirm with REGEN.
- The display may show FM/t0.7 (Flow Meter Type). Set this to t0.7 for the 3/4" turbine meter or P0.7 for the 3/4" paddle wheel meter. Press REGEN to return to the home screen.
