Converting your Bosch NGM5458UC gas cooktop from natural gas to propane involves a few key steps. First, you'll need to adjust the pressure regulator. Locate the regulator, usually on the bottom right of the appliance, and remove the conversion cap, being careful not to lose the gasket or spring. Then, pull out the plastic orifice stem, rotate it 180 degrees, and reinsert it. Replace the cap. Next, swap out the orifices. Remove the burner grates, caps, and bases, then replace the natural gas orifices with the propane (LP) orifices, using a 7mm socket wrench. Refer to your burner chart for the correct orifice specifications, and ensure they are tightened properly to prevent leaks. After replacing orifices, adjust the gas valves. Turn off the electricity and gas supply. Adjust the bypass jet on each valve with a flat blade screwdriver according to the LP gas setting in the burner chart. Finally, reassemble all parts and test the cooktop. Check that it is working properly and inspect the flame characteristics to confirm the conversion was successful.
