Changing the measurement units on your EatSmart Precision Elite Kitchen Scale is simple. Here's how: First, put the scale on a stable, flat surface and turn it on. The scale will go through a countdown (3-2-1) and then display zero. Next, press the "UNIT" button located on the front of the scale. Each press of this button will cycle through the available units: grams, kilograms, ounces, and pounds. Continue pressing the "UNIT" button until your preferred unit is displayed. The scale will then show all subsequent measurements in that unit. Important note: When using grams, the scale automatically switches to kilograms once you weigh over 999 grams. Similarly, when using ounces, it will convert to pounds and ounces once you go over 15.95 ounces. For instance, an item weighing 17.8 ounces will be shown as 1 lb: 1.8 oz on the Precision Elite scale. You can change the measurement unit at any time while weighing by simply pressing the "UNIT" button again.
