Starting your Scheppach HP2500S Reversible Plate Compactor involves several key steps. First, check the engine oil level using the dipstick, ensuring it's at the correct level; add oil if needed. Next, inspect the fuel level in the tank and fill it with unleaded gasoline if it's low, being careful not to overfill. Then, move the fuel valve lever to the ON position. If the engine is cold, set the choke lever to CLOSE; otherwise, leave it OPEN. Position the throttle lever about one-third of the way towards the FAST position. Make sure the shift stick is in the neutral position. Turn the engine switch to ON. To start the engine, use the recoil starter: pull the starter grip gently until resistance is felt, then pull briskly. Return the starter grip gently. Once the engine starts (especially if the choke was closed), gradually move the choke lever to the OPEN position as it warms up. After warming, adjust the throttle lever to increase engine speed and set the shift stick to the desired position to begin compaction. Always ensure the compactor is fully assembled and follow all safety precautions outlined in the Scheppach HP2500S's manual.
