Setting up your MONACOR IT-12M Interpretation System Base Unit and IT-12D Interpretation Console involves a few key steps to ensure seamless multilingual interpretation. First, for the physical setup, mount the base unit in a 19" rack using the provided brackets. Then, connect your interpretation console(s) to the base unit; you can cascade up to 11 consoles. Connect your microphones to the combi jack located on the front panel of the base unit. If you're using wireless transmitters, connect them to the 12 V power supply connections on the base unit. Next, configure the system using the interpretation console. This includes setting up interpretation channels, which can be stored permanently. Configure your active and standby channels and headset connections, including volume control and microphone settings. Utilize the relay interpreting feature via the 11-step language selector. Use the console's push-buttons to switch between relay and floor languages. The interpretation console is powered via the base unit. Additional features include the slow-down signal, alarm function, and status LEDs on the base unit. You can also use the 48 V phantom power supply for microphones and record interpretations via the 2 record outputs on the interpretation console. Always refer to the MONACOR IT-12M manual for detailed instructions.
