Unpack and Exterior Cleaning: Remove all packaging. Use warm water and a mild detergent to wipe down the exterior of the ice maker, removing any tape or adhesive residue.

Interior Cleaning:
- Disconnect the ice maker from its power source.
- Remove the ice storage bin.
- Wipe down the interior of the unit and the ice bin using a sanitizing solution made of 1 ounce of household bleach (or chlorine) mixed with 2 gallons of hot water.
- Detach the drain hose of the water trough to drain any remaining water.

- Reattach the drain hose.
