To program your PLT Solutions PLTS-12335 Digital Heavy Duty Outdoor Timer for your outdoor lights, follow these steps:
Initial Setup: Before programming, plug the timer into a wall outlet for approximately 30 minutes to allow the internal to charge. Once the screen activates, the timer is ready to be programmed.
Resetting the Timer: If you need to clear the existing settings, locate the reset hole (usually found under the dashboard) and use a non-conducting object, like a toothpick or paperclip, to press the reset button.
Setting the Current Time and Day: To set the current time, hold down the CLK button and then use the HOUR and MIN buttons to adjust the time. To switch between AM and PM, continue holding CLK while pressing the HOUR button until the correct setting appears. Set the current day by holding the CLK button and using the DAY button.
Programming On/Off Cycles: The timer allows up to 8 different ON/OFF cycles. Press the PROG button to begin programming your first ON setting. The display will guide you through setting the ON time, the specific day(s) you want it to activate (or multiple days), and then the OFF time. Repeat this process for any additional ON/OFF cycles, up to the maximum of 8.
Reviewing and Adjusting Your Program: To review or change your programmed settings, repeatedly press the PROG button to cycle through each programmed event. Use the HOUR, MIN, and DAY buttons to make any needed adjustments. Ensure that your programmed cycles do not overlap. Once you've reviewed and confirmed your settings, press CLK to exit the programming mode.
Selecting the Correct Operating Mode: Ensure your outdoor lights or devices are switched to the ON position before you plug them into the timer. Use the MODE button to select your desired operating mode. AUTO mode will activate your programmed ON/OFF settings. Use the MODE button to switch between the ON, OFF, and RDM (random) modes for manual control of your connected devices.
Troubleshooting: If the timer doesn't function as expected, confirm that the outlet has power, that your devices are properly connected, and that you have selected the correct mode (AUTO). Also, verify the programmed cycles are set correctly and that the wattage of your devices does not exceed the timer's rating. If problems persist, consult the PLT Solutions PLTS-12335 manual or contact PLT Solutions customer support for further assistance.
