Pole Selection: Choose a pole with an outside diameter between 1 1/4" and 1 3/4" (32 – 44mm).
Leveling: Ensure the rain collector is level using the built-in bubble level on its base.
Attaching the Collector to the Pole: a. Position the mounting base against the pole. b. Wrap the U-bolt around the pole, passing the ends through the two holes in the base. c. Place the metal backing plate over the bolt ends, on the side facing the rain collector. d. Secure the backing plate using a washer, a lock washer, and a hex nut on each bolt end. e. Adjust the height as needed, and tighten the nuts firmly.
Completing the Installation: a. Open the transmitter shelter on the sensor suite. b. Remove the foam insert from the cable port (lower right corner). c. Feed the rain collector cable through the opening and plug it into the "RAIN" receptacle. d. Replace the foam insert and close the shelter. e.
