To manually advance the cutting line on your Greenworks String Trimmer, follow these steps: First, stop the trimmer and release the trigger. Then, wait for a couple of seconds before squeezing the trigger again to restart trimming. With each stop and start, the line should extend by about 0.4 inches until it reaches the cut-off blade, which will trim the excess. If the line doesn't advance automatically, it might be tangled or empty. In this case, stop the trimmer and refer to your Greenworks String Trimmer manual for detailed instructions. You can manually advance the line by pressing the spool retainer button located on the side of the trimmer head and gently pulling on the cutting line. After extending the cutting line, always return the trimmer to its normal operating position before restarting it. For detailed illustrations and more specific guidance, please consult your Greenworks String Trimmer's instruction manual.
