To install your Profile Design Ergo+ & Race+ Armrest Kits, you'll need a 4mm Hex Wrench, a Torque Wrench with a 4mm hex bit, and grease like Finish Line Premium Grease. Your kit should include two armrest cups with hook & loop stickers, two armpad cushions (foam), and four M6x15 countersunk bolts. Here's a step-by-step guide:
- Apply a light coating of grease to the armrest mount to prevent corrosion.
- Attach the armrests to the brackets using the M6x15mm countersunk bolts. Remember, the armrests are offset, so position each side the same way.
- Tighten the bolts to 4.7Nm using the torque wrench.
- Apply a light coating of grease to the bolts to protect them from sweat.
- Affix the cushions by carefully placing them on the hook and loop backing of the armrests and holding firmly for 30 seconds. Repeat for the other armrest. Note that the cushions are symmetrical.
For installing new armpads:
- Make sure the inside of the armrest is clean and free of lint and grease. If there was a hook and loop sticker before, remove any residue.
- Wipe the surface with isopropyl alcohol before applying the hook and loop sticker.
- Peel off the backing from the sticker and apply it to the armrest, smoothing out any air bubbles.
- Let the sticker cure for 24 hours before use.
