Setting up your EUROTRONIC Sparmatic COMET programmable energy-saving radiator thermostat for the first time is straightforward. Follow these steps: First, insert or replace the batteries by removing the lid and inserting batteries according to the polarity markings. Avoid using rechargeable batteries or mixing old and new ones. Clean the battery contacts if necessary and keep batteries away from children. Next, set the date and time after inserting the batteries; the display will flash. Use the selector wheel to adjust the date, month, day, hour, and minute, and confirm with OK. The motor will move to its installation position, and the display will signal readiness; avoid pressing other buttons at this stage. Then, mount the device: unscrew the manual thermostat head, remove it from the valve, and attach an adapter if needed. Secure the EUROTRONIC Sparmatic COMET onto the valve until it clicks. After mounting, select the adaptation option in the menu to allow the device to adapt to your valve. Finally, understand the basic modes: MANU for manual and AUTO for automatic temperature control. Program your heating and economy times using the adjustable time program and set your desired comfort and economy temperatures. For detailed instructions and additional features, please refer to the user manual that came with your EUROTRONIC Sparmatic COMET.
