To reset your Yale NTB610 Keypad Access Cylindrical Lock to its factory default settings, follow these steps. Please note that this process will erase all existing user codes and settings.
- Begin by removing the inside lever using the lever removal tool that came with your lock.
- Next, use the hex wrench provided to remove the battery cover. Then, take out the batteries.
- If you have a network module installed, remove it at this time.
- Locate and remove the 10-32 x 3/4" pan head screw from the center of the battery housing.
- Carefully remove the inside lock from the door. You should now be able to access the reset button on the back of the inside lock. It's okay if the cables remain connected.
- Reinstall four (4) AA batteries.
- Press and hold the reset button for three (3) seconds.
- While still holding the reset button, temporarily remove one (1) of the AA batteries.
- Reinstall the battery that you just removed.
- Release the reset button and wait approximately 15 seconds. The lock's speaker should announce "Welcome to Yale."
- Reassemble the inside lock and lever.
- If you are using a network module, remove the batteries, insert the module, and then reinstall the batteries.
After completing these steps, the only option available will be to create a Master PIN Code. You must set up this code before you can program any other settings on the lock.
