Keeping your Avalon A1WATERCOOLER water dispenser clean and sanitized is essential for fresh, great-tasting water. Here's a step-by-step guide to cleaning and sanitizing your dispenser, based on the user manual: First, make sure both the cooling and heating switches are in the off position, and unplug the unit. Pour water into the top where the water bottle usually sits. Dispense approximately 2 liters of water into a bucket by pressing the hot and cold water paddles. Next, drain the water by placing a bucket under the drain outlet on the back of the unit. Remove the drain cover and allow all water to empty out. Be cautious and allow any hot water inside the machine to cool down before draining. Then, remove any remaining water from the hot and cold water spouts into a bucket. To clean the cold tank and remove mineral buildup, mix 4 liters of water with 200g of citric acid crystals (not included) or your preferred cleaning solution. Remove the bottle supporter, add the mixture to the cold tank, and ensure water can flow out of the hot water spout. Plug in the power cord and turn the heating switch on for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, turn the heating switch off and let the liquid cool for 20 minutes. Drain the liquid from the drain outlet and flush with water two or three times using the rinsing instructions above. Only disassemble the parts mentioned to avoid damaging the machine. Once clean and drained, replace the drain cover and your Avalon A1WATERCOOLER is ready to use. For optimal performance and water quality, clean and sanitize your Avalon A1WATERCOOLER water dispenser about every six months.
