Pairing your Ajax MotionProtect Curtain with your Ajax hub is straightforward. Here's a step-by-step guide: First, make sure your Ajax hub is powered on and connected to the internet, either via Ethernet or GSM. Then, install the Ajax app on your smartphone, create an account, and add your hub. Ensure you've created at least one room in the app. Check that the hub is disarmed and not updating. Only users with administrator privileges can add devices. To pair the MotionProtect Curtain, open the Ajax app and start the process. You can either manually enter the device's serial number or scan the QR code located on the detector's back or its packaging. Assign the device to a room and tap 'Add.' A countdown will begin. Now, activate the MotionProtect Curtain by holding its power button for three seconds. Make sure the device is within range of the hub during this process. The hub will attempt to connect within six seconds. You don't need to turn the detector off to retry. If the MotionProtect Curtain was previously connected to another hub, turn it off first, then repeat the pairing steps. Once successfully paired, the MotionProtect Curtain will appear in the app's device list. Device status updates depend on the polling interval set in your hub's settings, which is typically 36 seconds by default. If motion is detected before the system is armed, an alarm will trigger during the subsequent polling interval. Following these steps ensures seamless integration of your Ajax MotionProtect Curtain with your Ajax system.
