Setting up your Major Tech MT643 temperature data logger for accurate temperature logging involves a few key steps. First, install the data logger software on your computer. Once installed, launch the software and access the setup configuration options. Within the software, you'll configure the sampling rate, which determines how frequently the logger records temperature readings. Consider the life when configuring this, and you can also set the LED flash cycle. Next, set your temperature alarm limits—specifying high and low thresholds. You'll also choose your preferred start method: manual or automatic. In manual mode, you'll initiate logging by pressing and holding the Start Button for two seconds. In automatic mode, you can set a delayed start time within the software. Ensure your Type-K probe is correctly connected to the logger. During the measurement phase, monitor the LED indicators for status updates. When the battery needs replacing, use a 3.6V lithium battery. To replace the battery, carefully open the casing, remove the logger, replace the battery, ensuring correct polarity, and slide the logger back in. To retrieve your recorded data, connect the data logger to your computer via USB, open the software, and click the download icon to transfer your data. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the download. For detailed guidance, consult the Major Tech MT643 Temperature Data Logger instruction manual.
