To adjust the IP settings on your ACT AC7850 HDMI Over IP Extender Set Catx, follow these steps:
Prepare Your Computer: Before beginning, configure your computer or laptop with a static IP address within the same network range as the ACT AC7850 units. For example, if the default IP addresses are 192.168.168.55 and 192.168.168.56, set your computer's IP to something like 192.168.168.10.
Access the TX Unit: Connect the TX (transmitter) unit to your computer using a standard UTP cable. Open a web browser and enter the default IP address of the TX unit, which is https://192.168.168.55, into the address bar. This will take you to the TX unit's web interface.
Modify the TX IP Address: Within the web interface, go to the "System Settings" section (usually found under "System"). Here, you can modify the IP address of the TX unit. Enter the desired new IP address and click the "Apply" button to save your changes.
Configure the RX Unit: Repeat the same process for the RX (receiver) unit. Connect the RX unit to your computer, and in your web browser, enter the RX unit's default IP address: https://192.168.168.56. Navigate to "System Settings" in the RX unit's web interface, and modify its IP address accordingly, ensuring it's on the same network range as the TX unit. Remember to save the changes by clicking "Apply."
Unique MAC Addresses (for Multiple Receivers): If you are using multiple RX units, each unit needs a unique MAC address to function correctly on your network. You can change the MAC address in the web interface; typically, you'll need to adjust the last two digits. After changing the MAC address, click "Apply."
Reset to Factory Defaults: In case you need to revert to the original settings, you can perform a factory reset. Power on the ACT AC7850 unit and wait for the red "Power " to illuminate. Then, press and hold the reset button for 5-10 seconds. The green "Status" LED will turn off and then turn back on, indicating that the unit has been successfully reset. Both RX and TX units must be on the same IP network for smooth operation.
