Then, carefully unpack the fixture and verify all parts against the package and hardware contents lists; do not proceed if anything is missing or damaged. Next, detach the canopy from the mounting plate and thread the fixture's electrical wires through the mounting plate. Connect the white wire (neutral) from the fixture to the white wire from the outlet box, and the black wire (live) from the fixture to the black wire from the outlet box, using twist-cap connectors. Secure the grounding wire from the fixture to the mounting plate and connect it to the outlet box's grounding wire, carefully tucking the wires into the outlet box. Attach the mounting plate to your outlet box using the provided bolts. Reattach the canopy to the mounting plate, tightening the nut securely, but avoid over-tightening to prevent damage. After that, install the diffusers by removing the nuts and washers from the fixture and then reinstalling them with the diffusers in place. Finally, install the light bulbs. For maintenance, clean the fixture with a dry cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners or strong bleach to protect the finish.
