To set up encrypted communication using the C4Line C4L2000G-TWP-P IP Ethernet Over Transceiver, follow these steps:
Un-Joining the Transceiver (to prepare for a new encrypted network group):
- Power on the transceiver.
- Press and hold the 'Grp' button for approximately 15 seconds. The TWP and PoE LEDs will illuminate, then turn off after about a second, indicating the transceiver is now un-joined.
Joining the Transceiver (to add to an existing encrypted network group):
- Disconnect a transceiver from the existing group and connect the new, un-joined transceiver.
- Briefly press (for about 2 seconds) the 'Grp' button on the un-joined transceiver. A straightened paper clip can be helpful.
- The PoE LED will start blinking.
- Press the 'Grp' button on any transceiver already part of the encrypted network group.
- Both transceivers are now in Joining mode.
- Within approximately 10 seconds, the TWP LEDs on both transceivers will blink continuously, signifying a successful join.
Adding Additional Transceivers:
- Disconnect an existing transceiver from your current encrypted network group.
- Replace it with a new, un-joined C4Line C4L2000G-TWP-P transceiver.
- Repeat the steps under 'Joining the Transceiver' to add the new transceiver to the same network group. These steps enable you to create and manage an encrypted network group, enhancing security with your C4Line C4L2000G-TWP-P transceivers.
