- Aircraft Power-Up: Have an assistant hold the aircraft. Connect the aircraft's battery to the Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) connector and hold the aircraft immobile for 5 seconds.
- Positioning: Face the model, holding the transmitter in your normal flying position.
- Initiating Range Check Mode: Press and hold the bind button (often labeled as button A). Simultaneously, toggle the HI/LO rate switch (usually switch F) up and down twice. The transmitter's RGB LED will flash, and an alarm will sound, confirming range check mode. Do not release the bind button until the range check is complete.
- Distance Test: With the model securely held, walk approximately 30 paces away from the aircraft.
