Activating the AquaClean water filter on your Philips 3200 Fully Automatic Espresso Machine is easy. Follow these steps:

  1. Ensure the machine is powered on.
  2. Shake the AquaClean water filter vigorously for about 5 seconds.
  3. Submerge the filter upside down in a container of cold water, shaking or gently pressing it.
  4. Insert the filter vertically into the filter connection inside the water tank. Push it down firmly until it reaches the lowest point.
  5. Fill the water tank with fresh, clean water and return it to the machine.
  6. If attached, remove the LatteGo or milk frother.
  7. Place a container under the hot water spout or milk frother.
  8. Press and hold the AquaClean icon for three seconds. The start light will begin to pulse.
  9. Press the start/stop button to initiate the activation process.
  10. Hot water will dispense from the hot water spout or milk frother for around 3 minutes.
  11. Once the activation is complete, the blue AquaClean light will illuminate, confirming successful activation.

Before activating, remember to prepare the AquaClean water filter by soaking it in water. This step helps prevent air from entering the machine, which could cause noise and hinder proper coffee brewing.
