To successfully activate the color-change feature on your L.O.L. Surprise Color Change doll, follow these steps. First, temperature is key. For the cold color change effect, use ice water, around 32°F (0°C). For the warm color change, start with water around 100.4ºF (38ºC), with the best results often seen around 104ºF (40ºC). Apply the water specifically to the doll's hair, as that's where the color transformation happens. Note that the color change does not occur on all accessories or fashions included. If the color change isn't working as expected, the doll's body temperature may be too close to the water's temperature. Also, extreme weather during shipping can sometimes pre-activate the color change. If this happens, return the doll to its original state by placing it in a room temperature environment, between 68–77 °F or 20–25 °C.
