Installing your Profile Design Ergo+ and Race+ Armrest Kits requires a few tools and steps to ensure a secure and comfortable fit. Here's what you'll need and how to do it.

Tools and Materials:

  • 4mm Hex Wrench
  • Torque Wrench with a 4mm hex bit
  • Grease (like Finish Line Premium Grease)

The armrest kit should include:

  • Two armrest cups with hook and loop stickers
  • Two armpad cushions (foam)
  • Four M6x15 countersunk bolts

Installation Steps:

  1. Apply a thin layer of grease to the armrest mount surface to prevent corrosion.
  2. Attach the armrests to the brackets using the provided M6x15mm countersunk bolts. Note the offset design of the armrests; ensure each side is oriented identically.
  3. Tighten the bolts to 4.7Nm using your torque wrench.
  4. Apply a small amount of grease to the bolt heads to protect them from sweat.
  5. Attach the armpad cushions: Carefully position a cushion onto the hook and loop backing of an armrest, and press firmly for 30 seconds. Repeat for the other armrest. Note that the cushions are symmetrical, so placement doesn't matter.

Installing New Armpads:

  1. Make sure the inner surface of the armrest is clean of any lint or grease. If there's residue from old hook and loop stickers, remove it mechanically or with a citrus-based solvent.
  2. Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol before applying the new hook and loop sticker. Remove the backing from the sticker, and apply it to the armrest, smoothing out any air bubbles.
  3. Allow the sticker to cure for 24 hours before using the armrests.

Important Note: Avoid applying force to the sides of the armrests during use. For warranty information, consult the Profile Design Worldwide Two Year Limited Warranty, or contact Profile Design customer service if you have any questions.
