Powering your Altronix NetWaySP2P Series switches correctly is crucial for optimal performance. Here's a breakdown for each model: For NetWaySP2P/NetWaySP2PWPN: Connect a 48VDC-56VDC power source to the terminals labeled [48-56VDC – Input +]. Always observe the correct polarity, and ensure you use wires up to 12 AWG. For NetWaySP2PWP/NetWaySP2PWPX: Before applying power, set the input voltage switch to the appropriate position. These units are typically factory-set for 115VAC. Connect AC power from a circuit breaker (20A @ 115VAC, 60Hz or 16A @ 230VAC, 50/60Hz) to the [L, N] terminals on the power supply board. Connect the ground lug to earth or the green branch wire on the backplane (12AWG minimum). Use 14AWG or larger wires for all power connections, including the , DC output, and AC input. Keep power-limited and non-power-limited wiring separate, using different knockouts/inlets and maintaining a minimum 0.25-inch spacing. Battery Backup (optional): If you choose to use battery backup, connect four 12VDC batteries in series to the [– BAT +] terminals, paying careful attention to the polarity. Only use lead-acid or gel-type batteries for this. Note: Without batteries, the output voltage will be lost during an AC power outage. Always handle electrical components with care and double-check all connections to prevent equipment damage. If you are uncertain about any part of the installation, it's best to consult qualified service personnel for assistance.
