Why doesn't the Wuling Hongguang mini play songs when a USB drive is inserted?

Here are the reasons why the Wuling Hongguang cannot play music when a USB drive is inserted: 1. Loose USB connection: Since the USB drive remains plugged into the vehicle's USB port for extended periods, vibrations and shaking during driving may cause it to become loose. If the USB drive isn't securely connected, it may fail to play music. 2. Damaged USB drive: Although the probability is very low, the harsh in-vehicle environment (especially under high summer temperatures) could potentially damage the USB drive. 3. Corrupted files: Damaged music files might also suddenly cause the USB drive to stop playing music.
I've been commuting with my Wuling Hongguang Mini for over a year, often playing music from a USB drive to relax. When I first bought the car, I encountered a similar issue where the USB drive produced no sound. After checking, I found the main problem was the USB format – the car's infotainment system only recognizes FAT32 format, while NTFS doesn't work. File formats also matter, as only MP3 or WMA are supported, whereas high-end formats like WAV or FLAC won't play. The quality of the USB drive itself is important too, as cheap ones are prone to damage or data corruption. Also, make sure you're using a data-transfer USB port, as some USB ports in the Wuling Mini are for charging only. In the system settings, you need to select USB as the audio source and try restarting. I recommend first formatting the USB drive to FAT32 on a computer, storing a few test MP3 files, and then trying it in the car. Don't let this drag on and affect your driving mood – I went straight to the 4S shop to get it adjusted, and incidentally learned some useful car audio knowledge.
