Why Can't Motorcycles Be Equipped with Umbrellas?
1 Answers
Installing an umbrella on a motorcycle is illegal. Adding a sunshade umbrella to a motorcycle constitutes an unauthorized modification of the vehicle's appearance, violating the provision in the "Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" that prohibits "driving a motor vehicle with components that do not meet technical standards." Below are the disadvantages of equipping a motorcycle with an umbrella: Obstructed Vision: Blocked vision can easily lead to accidents. The umbrella and its support pole obstruct the rider's view and interfere with the normal operation of the motorcycle and other vehicles, increasing the risk of serious traffic accidents. Potential Hazards: A sharp object in front poses a danger. The umbrella mounted at the front of the motorcycle, along with its fixed bracket, essentially acts like a "sharp sword." Due to inertia, the protruding edges of the bracket face the rider. If not handled properly, this "sword" could easily pierce the rider's heart or neck, leading to severe consequences.
