Actually, since its domestic production began in 2010, the older models used the second-generation EA888, and the oil consumption issue was significantly improved in the newer third generation. Recently, I helped a friend pick up a 2023 Tiguan L, which comes with the 1.5T EA211 EVO engine paired with a 48V mild hybrid system, achieving just over 7L/100km in city driving.
