Full-time driving vocational education students who have obtained a small car license and have not accumulated 12 or more penalty points in the current scoring cycle or the most recent scoring cycle before applying may apply to upgrade to a large passenger vehicle or heavy trailer license. The following situations disqualify applicants from upgrading to an A1 license: According to Article 16 of the "Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driver's Licenses," the following individuals are prohibited from applying for large passenger vehicle, tractor, city bus, medium-sized bus, or large truck licenses: Those who have caused a fatal traffic accident and bear equal or greater responsibility; Those who have driven under the influence of alcohol; Those whose driver's licenses have been revoked or canceled within the past ten years.
