Where to Turn On the Ambient Lighting in the Touareg?

The ambient lighting in the Touareg can be turned on through the settings menu on the central control screen. Ambient lighting serves as a decorative illumination, typically in colors such as red, blue, or green, designed to enhance the cabin's ambiance at night, creating a more vibrant and mood-setting atmosphere. Taking the 2020 Touareg as an example, it falls under the category of mid-to-large-sized SUVs, with body dimensions of 5039mm in length, 1989mm in width, and 1773mm in height, and a curb weight of 2005kg. The 2020 Touareg features a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link independent rear suspension. It is equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum horsepower of 186ps, a maximum power of 137kW, and a maximum torque of 320Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Turning on the ambient lighting in the Teramont is actually quite simple. I operate it through the central control screen. After starting the vehicle, tap the car icon in the lower left corner of the screen, navigate to the 'Ambient Lighting' option in the menu, and you'll find a switch for the ambient lights—just tap it to activate the full-vehicle LED strips. Once turned on, you'll notice the lighting appears not only on the door panels but also along the sides of the dashboard and in the footwells with a soft gradient effect. There are even 30 colors to choose from. I prefer setting the main tone to ice blue and the co-pilot side to warm orange, which creates a fantastic atmosphere for night driving. Note that the brightness defaults to auto-adjustment—it brightens automatically in tunnels. If you prefer a fixed brightness level, you’ll need to adjust it in the submenu.
