The transmission oil filler port on a BMW 730 is located on the upper right side of the oil pan. It is covered by an eight-point internal hexagon screw that needs to be removed. Method for checking transmission oil level: Start the vehicle, pull out the transmission oil dipstick to check the scale. The standard oil level is when the reading is between the high and low marks. Alternatively, there is an inspection screw on the side of the transmission. Remove this screw - if transmission oil flows out, it indicates sufficient oil level. Steps for adding transmission oil: Lift the vehicle and place a large container underneath to catch any spilled oil. Use an appropriate screwdriver to remove the transmission outer cover. Check the oil level through the inspection port - when properly filled, oil will begin to flow out from this port.
