Last week I was also looking for this. In the Audi A3, you can see the tool kit by lifting the trunk floor panel. I took it apart and found a jack, tow hook, and anti-theft wheel nut wrench inside. Some older models place the tool kit next to the spare tire, but the sedan version might hide it right above the spare tire. If you can't even find the spare tire, try feeling along the side walls of the trunk—some versions have built-in hidden compartments. Remember to clear out any clutter before use, or you might get the floor panel stuck. The tool bag is usually secured with Velcro, so don’t pull too hard when opening it. Once when I helped a neighbor change a tire, I found his tool bag deformed from being crushed under spare windshield washer fluid, so it’s important to organize storage with proper layering.

When I first got the car, I was confused too. Later I found the Audi A3 toolkit always rolling around in the trunk. In the hatchback version, just lift the floor panel to meet the tool kit, while the sedan version requires removing the spare tire first. I've carefully checked the tool bag - there are two wrenches (long and short), and the jack lever needs self-assembly. Once during a midnight tire change, I discovered the anti-theft wheel bolt adapter was missing. I recommend checking if everything's complete when idle. Newer models might place it in the side mesh pocket. If the trunk seems empty, try pressing the bottom mat's corners - hear any buckle clicks? Important note: Don't let the toolkit soak in water, plastic parts may become brittle and crack.

The toolkit for my 2018 Audi A3 lies directly beneath the trunk floor panel. Upon removing the black cover, you'll immediately spot the red tool pouch containing the warning triangle and jack stand. Remember the pouch opening is sealed with hook-and-loop fasteners—be careful not to snag the lining fabric when pulling it open. From my three-time experience: always tighten the crank handle into the jack's threaded socket, otherwise the force may cause thread stripping. If the short tow hook won't screw into the front bumper, consult the manual to locate hidden mounting points. Some models have zippered sidewall pockets in the trunk—those are only for first-aid kits, while the tool pouch remains in its original position.

A friend who just bought an Audi A3 Sportback asked me to help find the tools, which turned out to be in the bottom layer of the trunk. Lifting the felt mat revealed a foam storage compartment—the left slot held the warning triangle, while the right red cloth bag contained the jack handle. Testing confirmed the wrench fits 17mm nuts, and the towing eye was hidden in the bag's inner pocket. Note: the spare tire cover has two latches; both ends must be pressed simultaneously to lift it. If missing, chances are the dealership forgot to return it during delivery—I’ve seen sales toss the toolkit under the passenger footwell as a quick fix.

I remember vividly the process of rummaging through the toolbox when my old Audi A3 had a flat tire on a long trip. Lifting the trunk floor panel revealed a red plastic box wedged next to the spare tire recess, with compartments inside: the top layer held a reflective vest and screwdriver, while the lower layer pressed down on a folding jack. The key point was the anti-theft wheel bolt key, a coin-sized metal head that needed to match the pattern on the wheel hub bolts. Once during a rescue, I found the toolkit had been moved to a left-side hidden compartment—turns out the previous model's facelift had rearranged the layout. It's advisable to check monthly for moisture or rust on the tools, especially during the rainy season when adding a desiccant pack is wise.

Reasons for Car AC Not Cooling at Low Speeds

Car AC not cooling at low speeds is caused by insufficient pressure. Reason 1: Insufficient Freon: When the car is idling, especially when stopping at traffic lights or in traffic jams (lacking the cooling effect from driving wind speed), the low engine speed causes the compressor speed to also decrease. With insufficient Freon, its instant pressurization cannot reach the standard state, resulting in excessively low high pressure and suboptimal cooling performance. This can be resolved by adding some Freon, but it is important to use high-purity, environmentally friendly Freon. Reason 2: Compressor Pressure Leakage: This directly leads to severely low pressure at idle speed. In this case, the compressor needs to be replaced, which can be a significant expense. Reason 3: AC Cooling Fan Not Working: When the car is stationary, poor heat dissipation (lacking the cooling wind speed from driving) causes the pressure to become excessively high. The high-pressure sensor then forces the compressor to stop working, resulting in no cold air. In this situation, check the fuse, relay, and the fan itself to identify the faulty component and replace it. Reason 4: Expansion Valve Orifice Too Large: At idle speed, the low pressure becomes too high, significantly reducing the AC's cooling effect. This requires replacing the expansion valve and completely refilling the system with Freon.

How to Identify a Car Engine Model?

Here is a detailed introduction to engine models: 1. Generally includes: number of cylinders, bore diameter, inline or V-shaped arrangement. Front part: Product series symbol and generation indicator symbol, represented by letters chosen by the manufacturer as needed, but must be approved by the relevant authority. 2. Middle part: Composed of symbols for the number of cylinders, stroke, cylinder arrangement, and bore diameter. 3. Rear part: Structural and usage characteristic symbols, represented by letters. 4. Tail part: Distinguishing symbols. L4 = Inline 4-cylinder. V6 = V-type 6-cylinder (3 cylinders per side in one row, arranged in two rows in a V shape). V8 = V-type 8-cylinder (4 cylinders per side in one row, arranged in two rows in a V shape). W12 = W-type 12-cylinder (4 cylinders per group in one row, arranged in four rows in a W shape; generally used in sports cars). For example, the 4102 engine indicates 4 cylinders in line with a bore diameter of 102 mm. 5. Usually, the manufacturer's self-assigned code is added at the front, and a Q or other letter is added at the end to indicate whether it is for automotive, marine, power generation, etc.

How to Fix a Continuously Running Self-Priming Pump?

It is likely that there is air leakage in the water valve of the pressure well. The best solution is to install a separate pipe for the self-priming pump into the well. If this is not feasible, install a valve at the bottom of the pressure water device and close it when the device is not in use. This prevents air from entering the pipeline, allowing the self-priming pump to function properly. Solutions for self-priming pump motor malfunctions: 1. Pump does not work after power is connected: This could be due to issues with the power plug or wiring, such as insufficient power or a short circuit. 2. Difficult to start or noise during startup: During inspection, gently move the fan blade with a small bamboo stick. If the motor runs normally, the starting winding may be damaged. Replace the capacitor with one of the same capacity or repair the starting winding. If the motor is stuck, it may be due to faults in the motor or pump head, such as bearing damage or impeller blockage. 3. Motor runs but at a slow speed, with overheating and a burning smell: This could be caused by a motor short circuit. Open the motor to assess the damage and repair accordingly. 4. Excessive noise and vibration during operation: This is often due to bearing damage or improper fit between the bearing and the motor casing. Disassemble the motor for inspection. If the bearing is damaged, replace it. If the bearing "runs outer circle," notch the pump casing's fitting surface. If the bearing "runs inner circle," notch the worn part of the motor shaft. For severe wear, use welding followed by turning to repair.

How many liters of engine oil should be added to a Volvo S90?

Volvo S90 requires 4L of engine oil. It is recommended to use semi-synthetic or fully synthetic oil with a viscosity of 5W-40 for the Volvo S90. Since this vehicle is equipped with a turbocharged engine, it is advisable to use higher-performance fully synthetic oil. Compared to naturally aspirated engines, turbocharged engines generate greater power during operation, resulting in higher engine load. Therefore, higher-performance engine oil is needed to protect the engine. The wheelbase of the Volvo S90 hybrid is 3061 mm, with a length, width, and height of 5090 mm, 1879 mm, and 1450 mm respectively.
